Meet Tom, 3, who has lost 90 pounds since he joined BRG on February 2, 2016.
How was your overall experience?
Great! I have felt welcome since stepping foot into gym day 1. Everyone is super friendly and knowledgeable.
What was your motivation for making a change?
The picture of me holding my son on his first birthday was one of my reasons for joining BRG. I didn’t like what I saw and I was tired of being fat. I knew I needed to make a change.
What did a normal day look like you before you started working out and then after you started working out at the gym?
Before I started working out, a typical day consisted of me going to work (sitting at a desk), coming home and eating dinner with my family and then sitting on the couch all evening watching tv. Before joining the gym, I didn’t think twice about how much movement or foods I had in a day. Now, I go to the gym every day after work, I track all of my exercise and food, so I am aware of what how I am treating my body.
What kinds of exercises did you do, and what foods did you eat?
I do the team training Monday – Thursday and strength training Friday – Sunday, with an occasional team training class on Saturdays. I have cut out most of the processed foods I was eating before. I eat a lot of chicken breast and vegetables. I track all of my food with the My Fitness Pal app to make sure I stay in my targets calorie range each day.
How long have you been at BRG, and who have you worked with?
I have been at BRG for 7 months now. The entire staff has been amazing and truly supportive of my progress. I have worked with all of the trainers, and all of their unique talents have played a role in my success.
