How did you start working here?
I recently moved to Columbia and immediately began looking for a gym. I was attracted to BRG because of its unique environment. The personable staff and smaller classes contribute to a camaraderie that promotes friendly competition and fitness. It's a fun place to get fit!
What's your favorite thing about your job?
I love helping people. A fitness journey can be difficult. I enjoy creating an environment that makes fitness fun. I am passionate about fitness, and I like to share that passion.
What's your favorite hobby outside of work?
I love to read. I devour books.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I'm shy. I've spent years trying to overcome it.
What advice would you give to someone looking for a job in your field?
Start with a group fitness certification, and then take as many group fitness classes as you can. Expose yourself to different teaching styles. As you develop your own style, challenge yourself with new certifications.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
