Meet one of our Spinning Instructors, Jacie.
Jacie holds her BS in Nutrition and Fitness and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Missouri. She's also a NETA certified Indoor Cycling Instructor. Her spinning mentor, Erica Martin, began instructing at BRG and raved about the staff, trainers, facility and overall energy of the place. Needless to say, she talked Jacie into checking it out for herself. She loved the energy and atmosphere of the gym.
What does a typical day look like for you?
As a physical therapist, I get to engage patients in activities that will increase their safety and independence and allow them to live the life they wish to live. As a spinning instructor, I get to motivate people to push themselves to their limit in order to improve overall health, physique and well-being.
What are your favorite hobbies outside of work?
Lifting, running, walking my dogs, cooking, canoeing and camping.
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
I am an only child.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
A dog. Because I can’t imagine a better animal.
What advice would you give to someone looking for a job in your field?
You must practice what you preach. In order to have a career in healthcare or the fitness industry, you must first work on you.
